The most interesting angle buried in this article is that the new Siri, delayed two full years after its preview, is now the common thread holding together nearly the entire product pipeline, from the home hub to the Apple TV to the foldable iPhone.

Apple’s next two years of hardware are less a product roadmap and more a backlog clearance. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, around 20 products are expected before the end of 2027, and a surprising number of them were reportedly held up waiting for the more personal version of Siri, which only arrived in beta after a two-year wait following its WWDC 2024 preview.

The Apple TV and HomePod mini are the clearest examples of products sitting on finished hardware, delayed not by manufacturing but by software. Both are now expected to ship with the revamped Siri, Wi-Fi 7 support via Apple’s N1 chip, and updated processors. The HomePod mini may also arrive in new colors, including red.

The most structurally interesting item on the list is the foldable iPhone Ultra, which Gurman describes as carrying a 7.7-inch inner display, a 5.3-inch outer display, Touch ID instead of Face ID, and two rear cameras. iOS 27 is expected to be tailored specifically for it, with side-by-side apps and iPad-style multitasking. That kind of software customization explains, at least partly, why a foldable has taken this long to materialize.

A Mac Redesign Worth Watching

The MacBook Ultra, expected in late 2026 or early 2027, represents the most significant Mac change on the list. It is described as a redesigned MacBook Pro with M6 Pro and M6 Max chips, an OLED display, a touchscreen, a Dynamic Island, and a thinner body. macOS 27 is expected to introduce a touch-friendly interface alongside it.

Absent from the list in any meaningful way is Vision Pro. Apple’s WWDC 2026 treatment of the headset offered little to suggest it factors into the near-term roadmap, and Gurman’s rundown does nothing to change that picture. The next two years appear to be about Siri finally earning its place in the product line, not spatial computing.
