Beats Studio Pro Successor Spotted in Instagram Leak, Specs Still Secret

Two new Beats over-ear headphones have now surfaced in public, spotted hanging from a bag strap in an Instagram Story posted by FC Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal: one in pink, one in ivory. The images are incidental rather than staged product shots, which makes them more credible as accidental leaks than a coordinated reveal.

The headphones already cleared FCC review, which typically precedes a consumer launch by weeks rather than months. That regulatory filing is the only hard documentation available so far, and it tells us the product exists and is ready for the US market, nothing more.

What’s Still Unknown

The more interesting question is where these sit in the Beats lineup. The current Beats Studio Pro launched in 2023 at $350 and has not been updated since. If these are a direct successor, the two-year gap and the apparent focus on color variety suggest Beats is leaning into fashion positioning rather than spec competition with Sony or Bose. If they are a separate, lower-tier product, that changes the pricing calculus entirely.

Yamal’s involvement follows a pattern Beats has used for decades, seeding product with high-profile athletes before any formal announcement. The brand has run this playbook since its early years with NBA players, and it still works as a way to generate coverage without committing to a launch date.

What’s missing from every leak so far is anything about the actual hardware: driver size, noise cancellation approach, codec support, or battery life. For a product category where Sony’s WH-1000XM5 and the Bose QuietComfort Ultra have set a high technical bar, the color story only carries so far. Beats will need to show more before anyone outside the fashion-adjacent buyer can get genuinely interested.
